Grandmas Photo Shoot

My mom has been telling me how I should take pictures of Chloe in a trunk with a hat and necklace because it would be soo cute, yeah it sounds cute but where do I find all that stuff? So she had them last weekend and I decided to just leave my camera with her and let her try it out, here's what we got... I LOVE THEM !!!!!

Chloes Blessing Dress

I've been wanting to get some pics of Chloe in her dress, and my AWESOME friend Dot was willing to do them, however I never made time to get there and get them done, so the other day while waiting for Nate and Sierra to get home from school I decided I'd try to take some myself. Now I'm no photographer but I think I got a few good ones!!

She was so tired and it was hard keeping the dog out of the shots but I think they turned out pretty good for some one who has no idea what they're doing!

Peaches!!

On Friday afternoon I got a call from my mom saying that I could go to the Hurricane church orchard and pick peaches, for FREE. Well you can't beat that deal, so we waited for her and my dad to drive down and we went to get some. I can't really say the kids had a blast picking them but they were good helpers. We stayed until it was to dark to see and this is what we left with....

That's alot of peaches. I decided that even though I had no idea what I was doing I'd try bottling them. Well I had a ton of peaches, a few bottles, no lids, no canning pot, no bottle lifter, basically I had the peaches and that was it. On Saturday morning I started looking for everything I'd need, I found nothing none of the stores I went to had anything I needed. Jared decided he'd call his buddies mom and luckily she had a canner, my aunt let us know big lots had bottles, and the walmart across town had lids. So after almost 2 days of searching we had everything we needed to get started. I finally finished the last batch @ 11:00 Sunday night. Even after all the trouble that it was gathering everything, and the weekend long headache I had, getting it all done it was well worth it. We got a total of 59 bottles and quite a few batches of fruit leather.

This ones for you Dot

So I'm at the kid store earlier today and I see some really cute bows. (I'm not a bow fan, usually the bows are bigger than the baby's head and it looks like they're squishing her head.) Well I kinda liked these ones so I figured I buy a couple and see how Chloe liked them..

What Do Ya Think...

She's not really used to having something on her head so it might take a while before she'll actually leave it on. I guess not all bow are too bad

Bumbo

I've heard alot about these things, but I always said to myself how stupid I thought they were, I mean how handy can a foam chair thing be any way? Well I'm putting my foot in my mouth over this one, I love this chair, and so does Chloe! That's all that matters really. I had been looking for something I thought she'd like to just sit and play in, I tried a Winnie the pooh toy and some other random things. Finally I decided I'd try a Bumbo, I looked @ Walmart and Target and then decided to look on ebay (these things aren't very cheap). I found one on ebay and ended up getting it. It arrived and she's loved it ever since, I think she likes it because she sees way more now sitting up than just laying down starring at the ceiling. She sits in it all the time, she watches me cook dinner, she sits in it outside, I can feed her much easier when she's in it, and its at the perfect level for her she can see everything so she's not left out when we're all doing stuff!!

After receiving the bumbo in the mail I was looking at the box and right on the bottom of the box I see this price tag..
Next time I should think of kid to kid or the thrift store before logging onto ebay to make a purchase.
